For families and carers

You searched “exercises for older adults” for your mum or dad. Good: there’s no gym and no promises here. Just short videos of kind movements that look like what they do every day: standing up from a chair, bending down, putting on socks.

In two minutes you’ll have the essentials to help them start safely.

How to help them start

  1. Watch the first video together

It clears up doubts and shows them it’s calm: nobody throws themselves on the floor, everything starts seated or with the chair in front.

  2. Send the link by WhatsApp

Every video has a “Share it with your family” button, with a direct WhatsApp link and a copy-link option. It’s the easiest way for them to keep it at hand.

  3. Find a fixed moment

After breakfast, before the evening news… Little and often beats a Sunday ordeal. Five or ten minutes a day is plenty.

  4. Celebrate level 1

Everything comes in levels: seated, holding a chair, standing. Doing it seated is not “the easy version”: it is the complete practice. It is already well done.

  5. No hurry, no comparisons

The only rule is “as far as doesn’t hurt”. On days when they don’t feel like it, do less, or nothing. Tomorrow is another day.

Safety, in short

A firm chair nearby, shoes that stay on (or bare feet that don’t slip), and stop if there is pain, dizziness or unusual fatigue. With a recent operation, a fall or a heart condition, ask the doctor first.

The videos play in the browser of any TV or projector: open the page, press full screen and turn captions on. No ads, no accounts, nothing to install. The levels let a whole group join: standing for those who can, seated for those who can’t. Everyone takes part.

Sharing is caring

If this site helps someone in your family, send it over. Every video has its share button right under the player.
